This guy, "Tímo" posted the solution to a truly pesky problem that he knew was shared by many of us music geeks out here in the world.  Now, more than 5 years after he posted this, I am reviving my home recording studio  -- and am just now discovering this predicament, and thankfully, Tímo's solution which he kindly took the time to document and share.

Hey, Tímo - this well written and detailed set of instructions has saved me literally thousands of dollars in equipment replacement!
